When it was originally published, Ina was known for the delicious food she prepared at her gourmet shop in the Hamptons, called The Barefoot Contessa. After running it for more than twenty years, Ina sold her shop and decided to try her hand at writing a cookbook. The Barefoot Contessa Cookbook was born.
